SBLA Beauty: Double the Plump-Lip Plump & Sculpt
Lip filler is everywhere. You see it on celebrities, Instagram models and on ordinary people. Lip fillers are used to fill an insecurity we have about ourselves. Personally, I have gotten lip filler done twice. Once in 2020 just before the pandemic and again in 2021 for a touch up. Both times, I have almost passed out from the syringe. It’s so embarrassing! This blog post is about my lip filler experience as well as my lip plumper gloss experience using SBLA Beauty. Full disclosure, the lip plumper was gifted to me, but that will not sway my opinion in this post one way or the other. Interested in purchasing the SBLA Beauty: Double the Plump-Lip Plump & Sculpt? My Experience
Getting Lip Filler
I was never really self-conscious about my lips until I entered the beauty industry. Most of my decisions are based on my own income, that being said, my mom paid for my lip filler both times. We did not go the “Groupon” route to find a cheap and fast solution, instead we went through my mom’s friend that she has known since they were in high school. She has been a nurse injector for years and is flown all over the world to teach other people in her field how to do what she does. I really loved the work she did on me. I don’t look over done or swollen and they look very natural. To this day, without any other work being done, my lips still look great, in my opinion.
The reason I went the semi-permanent route, was because I had heard along with most of you that lip plumpers were prickly and painful. Not only that, but if I wanted to upkeep the filled look, I would have to pay for the lip product on a regular basis. I’m not saying my way made sense or was the better option, but it was the better one for longer lasting effects.
My experience with getting lip filler done, was not traumatic, it just made me nervous. You do feel a pinch on your lips, and you do need to hold very still. Injecting in the correct place is all technique but it’s also a safety issue. I trusted my injector and I trusted her to do a great job, so that’s not what made me almost pass out. It was my body!
Would I Get Lip Filler Again?
My injector was very calm and patient with me, because she has seen people pass out before. She had me put my legs over my head and try to peddle like I was riding a bike. This gets your blood back up to your head and prevents you from passing out all the way. Unfortunately, this happened to me both times. This won’t prevent me from having other procedures done, but definitely no more lip filler for me.
Who is Randi Shinder?
CEO & Beauty Expert
Randi Shinder is an entrepreneur and has been in the beauty industry for years! Her earliest ventures I have found date back to 2002, which is at least 23 years in the beauty industry.
She helped to create the success of the first teen loyalty website – Youtopia.com, with Britney Spears as the official ambassador. Look at how cute Britney was! Randi also created virtual shopping sprees that included Justin Timberlake and at the time had the largest webcast event streaming online with Yahoo.com.
In 2002 she launched CLEAN Perfume, which offered a unique fragrance experience meant to re-create everything that was the epitome of CLEAN from her personal perspective being that “women just want to smell good”. CLEAN is one of the most successful independent fragrance brands and is distributed worldwide. I was gifted the scent SKIN from Butterly, if you want to check out my Instagram post below.
This success led her to working with Jessica Simpson and her brand, Dessert Beauty. This is the only multi-sensory beauty experience based on scent and flavor. Dessert Beauty was the first brand to exceed $10 Million in sales at Sephora before expanding into worldwide distribution. Two mass market offshoots of Dessert Beauty were – Dessert Treats and Sweet Kisses – went into the drugstore beauty world and obtained major national distribution at Walmart. I remember Jessica Simpson talking about this when she and Nick Lachey were on their Newlyweds show on MTV. He looks so young in this picture!

LipFusion
In 2005, Randi launched the first ever micro-injected collagen lip plumper, LipFusion, under a company called Fusion Beauty. LipFusion was an instant success, selling 3.2 million units in the first nine months at Sephora, including two sellout periods. Fusion Beauty was the first brand to exceed $50 Million in sales at Sephora.
Randi Shinder’s passion for identifying white space or voids within the beauty industry and developing products that fill those needs that have brought her to her most recent business venture. Christie Brinkley told her fans how the SBLA Beauty neck wand drastically changed the appearance of her neck and she that she loved her results. Christie Brinkley has since collaborated with Shinder as of 2021 and they continue to work on launching new products, like the lip plumper gloss.
Randi Shinder continues to be an advocate for making women feel beautiful and starting trends in the beauty industry.
Randi Shinder continues to be an advocate for making women feel beautiful and starting trends in the beauty industry. I’m not sure if I will ever achieve this level of success, but she sure is an inspiring woman to look up to.
Does Lip Plump and Sculpt Gloss work?
My experience with the SBLA Lip Plumper Gloss is that it does give my lips a little bit of definition. Being that I already have lip filler, although it be a few years old, it’s still in my lips. The technique used to achieve the ideal results in my case, is to stay within the color of my lips. In the directions, it states to apply the applicator wand in in upward directions and downward directions depending on if it’s your upper or lower lip. I stay on my natural lip color so that when the product begins to increase the blood circulation in that spot, they look more defined.
If you put the product on the outside of your lips, they will look like a “blow up doll” and that’s not quite the look most people want. Although my results may be enough to see, they might not be enough for you personally. That’s okay! Remember, this is just a topical fix that lasts a few hours. Sometimes you have to compromise on the results you want for your own personal comfort, speaking from my own experience.
According to WebMD, the ingredients in lip plumpers are a great trick to use for photo shoots and for events. I applied the lip plumper before going to an influencer k- beauty event in Los Angeles, California just to see how long it would last with food and drink involved. By the end of the night, I would say that it had worn off within the 4 hours that it claims to stay on according to the website. Lip plumpers are not a product to reapply throughout the day, but perfect for an event.

Witchy Tip
Wearing colors that match with your intentions while doing spell work or an everyday look for manifesting your desired results. Both of the lip shades featured here are different shades of pink which are wonderful to use in love or self-love spells.
Using Pink in Witchcraft
Pink in witchcraft is used for:
- Friendship
- Happiness
- Self-love
- Innocence (Inner child work)
- Emotional healing
- Feminine power
- Unconditional love
- Faith
- Nurturing
- Compassion
- Attraction
You can light one of your favorite pink candles while getting ready and say one of your favorite beauty affirmations. A few of my favorites to use are:
” I am literally the prettiest girl ever.”
“My beauty is jaw dropping.”
“Everyone admires how beautiful I am.”
The last one is for beauty on the inside as well. Remember, looks fade but your character and your heart will make you beautiful no matter what.
Pink Candles for Spells
If you don’t have any pink candles and you would love some suggestions, I would be happy to give you some suggestions. Here are a few of my favorites.
- Rolled Honeycomb Taper Candles – Petal Pink
- Fan Shell Candle – Coral Pink
- Metallic Spiral Candles – Long Dozen – Pink
The Rolled Honeycomb Taper candles go inside of a candle holder of your choosing and are placed at your personal alter or in another safe place. I like the honeycomb mold because I personally like to combine the symbolism that bees have in success mixed in with the self-love intentions placed in the spell. You can find it here on Flaming Wik.
The second candle is the Fan Shell Candle. It’s perfect for my sea witches reading this, but also for anyone who loves the ocean, mermaids etc. You can find it here on Flaming Wik.
The last candle is the Metallic Spiral Candles. They are so pretty to look at, but they also have tin properties in them when they are made. Tin symbolizes knowledge, abundance, and divination. When using these candles, you can use them for more than one intention. As a witch on a budget, these things come in handy! You can find them here on Flaming Wik.
In the future, I may make a post that is nothing but pink candles to make your search a little bit easier.
