We all know that drinking water is not only a necessity to life, but it can be a pretty boring beverage. By drinking fruit-infused water, you are not only making your water taste better but there are also added benefits. If you believe in the energies that crystals bring into our lives, I will also be getting into how you can add crystals safely to your water.
Skin Benefits of Fruit-Infused Water
Lemon water may help clear up your skin from acne and blemishes. Drinking water in general will also help to clear up your skin, as sugar intake such as soda may be triggering your acne to pop up. According to Medical News Today, the benefits of adding cucumber-infused water are added hydration, lowered blood pressure, weight loss, and skin health. Lemons have a ton of phytonutrients that have antioxidants. This prevents cell damage and helps with preventing disease. I am a licensed esthetician, so we are just going to focus on skin health. All health issues should be discussed with a medical professional.

This should take you 5 minutes or less to prep. You don’t have to peel any fruits, just cut them into their round slices. The thinner the slice, the more aesthetically pleasing but this is up to you, just be careful. After you add your cold water into the container of your choice, just add the ice and lemon slices to it.
When does the Fruit-Infusing Happen?
Great question. You can enjoy your fruit-infused water in about 30 minutes. You may find that the water is not cold enough for you or it is not strong enough for you taste-wise. Lemon is sour and we all have our own limits on how sour we like things. If that is the case, then put the water back in the fridge and let it sit for another 30 minutes.
How Long Does the Lemon Water Last?
This may seem like a silly question, but from personal experience, you want to drink this water within a timeframe of two days at least. It’s a great addition to a hot summer day or an easy party drink even the kids can participate in by putting the fruit into the water or pouring the water if they are old enough.
Why use a SHAMTAM Crystal Glass Water Bottle?
Without a doubt, when I first saw the crystal water bottle trend, I was so excited! I love collecting crystals and enjoying their different properties. SHAMTAM has different crystals you can choose from, but in this blog post, I will be focusing on the Rose Quartz crystal.
In just the United States alone 1,500 plastic bottles are made per second. Of course, there is always a time and place for plastic bottles, but how do you enforce the recycling system? A lot of Americans simply don’t see this as an issue. We can only hold ourselves accountable by doing what we can with what we have in front of us.
Using these glass water bottles is a great alternative to using plastic water bottles. By using a glass bottle, you are protecting the environment by not using petroleum, which is what plastic bottles are made out of, and reducing your carbon footprint in truck transportation. If you are able to get a reusable water bottle, then do it. Recycling your plastic water bottles are still great for the planet, if you choose that route too. There’s no green shaming here.
Is Rose Quartz Safe to Put in Water?
Yes, Rose Quartz is safe to put in water. It is rated a 7 of out 10 on the Mohs Scale. The scale measures how hard or soft a mineral is and its durability. The closer you get to 10, the less likely the stone will be scratched or break off in little pieces. This makes it durable to put in water and handle some wear and tear. This doesn’t just apply to Rose Quartz, but to the “Quartz” category. Amathyst, Citrine, Smokey Quartz also belong in the “Quartz” family and are rated a 7 in durability. This being said, if you leave Rose Quartz in water for too long, it will start to rust. My advice would be to gently wash your water bottle after use and make sure that it has a chance to completely dry and air out.
What is Rose Quartz?
The use of Rose Quartz is said to date back as far as 7,000 B.C. It’s also been rumored that Egyptian and Roman women used Rose Quartz face masks to clear their complexions and prevent wrinkles. There are variations of Rose Quartz colors. The deeper pink color is called, Strawberry Rose Quartz and the pale pink-purple color is referred to Lavender Rose Quartz. This crystal can be found in the United States, Brazil, Madagascar, South Africa, India, Sweden, and Germany.
The Piezoelectric Effect
While crystals do not replace medicine or therapy, they do have vibrational energies. Everything on this planet is made from energy and contains different vibrations. I understand that a lot of the concern of the crystals working is based off of wanting an instant effect. I would dare to compare it to praying as it is also a part of a spiritual practice. I cannot speak for other people and their experience with Rose Quartz, but I personally can feel energies from crystals in the palm of my left hand if the energy is strong enough. To compare the effects of Rose Quartz to medicine by calling it a “placebo effect” is ridiculous, in my opinion. You can’t prove the power of prayer or measure faith either.
There is something called “The Piezoelectric Effect“. This phenomenon occurs when pressure is applied to certain materials, which causes them to generate an electric charge. Crystals are formed under the earth through geological processes that take thousands, if not millions, of years. This slow growth, under immense pressure, leads to the formation of a highly organized and a regular lattice structure, which is characteristic of crystals. This structure is believed to be the source of a crystal’s energy frequency.
The regularity and stability of a crystal’s lattice allow it to maintain its energy frequency without easily being disrupted by external vibrations. This is why crystals are thought to be able to absorb, store, and emit energy. When a crystal comes into contact with an energy field that is out of balance, it is said to emit a vibration that has a balancing effect on that field. The piezoelectric property of quartz is utilized in modern technology, such as in watches, radios, and ultrasound equipment, highlighting how the vibrational properties of crystals can have practical applications.
Quantum Physics is a hard concept to study for the majority of people. So, in simple terms, everything is energy.
Rose Quartz Rituals
Rose Quartz is often used in rituals, from manifesting desires to calling in unconditional love. Here are a few ways that I like to incorporate Rose Quartz into my everyday life.
Beauty Routine
I like to use Rose quartz in my facials at home. There are a lot of different ways you can approach this, but a facial tool is one of the easiest. A facial roller is used to massage your face and help to penetrate your skin care further into your skin. This tool can also be used to reduce inflammation and massage your sinuses to give you a little bit of allergy relief. If you put it in the refrigerator, it’s great for a post treatment for an “at home” peel.
Rose Quartz in Makeup
In ancient Egypt, they rubbed Rose Quartz over their faces, much like we do now. According to folklore, goddesses like Iris used Rose Quartz found along the Nile River in facial massages to maintain their divine youth and beauty. The pink stone was believed to clear the skin and prevent wrinkles, which could explain why revered facial masks made of Rose Quartz have been unearthed in tombs. Today, you can find Rose Quartz in facial tools but also in makeup. My favorite example of this is from Kora Organics.
Kora Organics has a Rose Quartz Luminizer. They used to have 3 different highlighters, but I only see the original on the site right now. This is an organic highlighter containing finely crushed Rose Quartz to create a soft pink hue that provides hydration and a luminous glow. It has Certified Organic Noni Fruit Extract, Coconut and Rosehip Oils that nourish, moisturize and melt into your skin, and work with actual Rose Quartz Crystal Powder to enhance your natural radiance. You can put it on your brow, cupid’s bow or use it as an eyeshadow. They also have a Rose Quartz Gua Sha stone that is shaped to get different angles of your face, jaw and neck. Witchy Tip
Working with water is one of the simplest rituals that you can do. I mentioned in my blog post about zinc oxide, how you can connect to the sun in a safe way spiritually. You can read more on how to make Sun Water and about zinc oxide by clicking or tapping here.
After making my Sun Water in a separate container, I would add it to my crystal water bottle for an even more powerful and energized drinking experience. You will be able to make Moon Water in the crystal water bottle with no issues at night. Do not leave your crystal water bottle in the sun for too long or the colors of your crystals may also fade with time from sun damage.
Water is something that our bodies need, so why not make it an enjoyable experience? Drinking water helps our organs work better, our minds are clearer and helps add to our overall well-being. What you add to your water is up to you.
