Jessica Simpson Perfumes Review 2025
If you’re a Millennial girl like me, you’ve probably followed Jessica Simpson’s career-whether out of curiosity or genuine fandom. While I’m not sure where things took a turn, I’m happy so see that her shoe and clothing line are still thriving. In this post, I’ll be diving into Jessica Simpson perfumes you can find at Macy’s, including some of her most popular celebrity fragrances. It’s a bit surprising she doesn’t feature them on her official website, but I’m guessing Macy’s has an exclusivity deal- fair enough!

Who is Jessica Simpson? A Look Behind the Perfume Line
Jessica Simpson is a pop culture icon who rose to fame in the early 2000s, and she’s also the face behind a successful line of a celebrity clothing line as well as her celebrity perfumes. Born in Albilene, Texas, Jessica grew up with her sister Ashlee Simpson and left high school early to chase her music dreams. At just 17, she signed with Columbia Records and released her debut album, “Sweet Kisses” which included one of her biggest hits, I Wanna Love You Forever. It is still one of her most watched music videos on YouTube-and honestly, it’s one of my personal favorites too.
If you need a refresher on where Jessica is now, check out her latest music video “Leave“, which I’ve linked below. She’s rebranded with a bolder, edgier pop sound, and it really suits her vocal range.
Jessica also recently went through a divorce, and while that’s personal news, it does seem to reflect in her branding-especially in one of her perfumes, Fancy Forever. In the perfume ad, she’s wearing a wedding dress. I can’t help but wonder if she was engaged or newly married when she developed the concept for the perfume. Now we have the post-divorce music. It just feels too personal to be random. Just my outside perspective!
Before launching her current fragrance collection, Jessica Simpson released a line of perfumes and body products under the brand Dessert Beauty. It was fun, flirty, and full of early 2000s nostalgia-but it didn’t last. If you’re curious about what happened to the line and want to discover Dessert Beauty perfume dupes, I wrote an entire post breaking it all down for you.

Fancy (2008) Jessica Simpson Perfume Review
The very first Jessica Simpson Perfume “Fancy” launched in 2008 exclusively at Macy’s. It perfectly captured her “girl next door” charm and southern femininity. In an Entertainment Tonight (ET) interview, Jessica shared that the ad campaign was inspired by Bridgett Bardot- she wanted people to focus on the celebrity fragrance itself, not just her body. She is literally so cute in this interview.
The name Fancy has a personal backstory too: Jessica talks about how she loves the word “fancy” because she heard her grandfather say in his southern drawl, ” I fancy you” while she was growing up in Texas. You have to admit, her bringing her southern charm and feminine aura into this perfume ad is the perfect combination.
” A whimsical, woody oriental fragrance, fancy is red carpet ready while maintaining the subtle flirtatious charm of the enticing girl next door.”

Fancy Love (2009) Jessica Simpson Perfume Review
Fancy Love was the second fragrance in the Jessica Simpson perfume line, released in 2009. It’s a softer, more romantic take on her original Fancy perfume. If you’re into creamy white florals with a hint of sweetness, you’ll probably fall in love with this one.
With notes of peach blossom, champagne, peony, and musk, Fancy Love feels like a daytime bridal scent-sweet, clean, and ultra-feminine. It’s perfect for spring and summer if you love celebrity perfumes that give “just got married” energy without being overpowering.
“A sensual fragrance that is both radiant and alluring. Irresistible and tempting, it truly is. . .’The timeless fragrance of falling in love.'”

- Playful and sparkling, the fragrance opens with a rich radiance of Peach Blossom, Bergamot and the delicate Goij Leaf, wrapped in a celebration of Pink Champagne.
- A captivating bouquet of blossoms forms the heart of this fragrance that deepens with the seductive blend of Lotus, Peony, Plumeria, Jasmine and Turkish Rose.
- The depth of this fragrance bursts with creamy Amber and Blonde Woods while sensual Musk and Patchouli create a loving and long-lasting trail.

Fancy Nights (2010) Jessica Simpson Perfume Review
Released in 2010, Fancy Nights by Jessica Simpson was created as an evening perfume-perfect for date nights, girls’ night out, or any elegant event. It’s meant to be a sultry, bold counterpart to her lighter scents like Fancy and Fancy Love.
Now let’s talk about the ad campaign. Personally, I wasn’t a fan of the styling. The dress choice felt off-brand and didn’t reflect the sensual, romantic vibe the fragrance name suggests. I could totally picture Jessica in a stunning gown at a glamorous southern party-think belle of the ball vibes-which would have tied beautifully into the Fancy Nights concept.
Instead, the imagery looked over-edited and cheap, which really surprised me given Jessica Simpson’s popularity and the budget likely available for this project. Honestly, this is where I think someone like Carrie Underwood gets it right-she approves her photos and works with her own photographer. I wish Jessica had a team like that backing her for this ad.

- Middle Notes: Patchouli, Rose and Jasmine
- Base Notes: Amber, Vanille, Sandalwood Oak Moss.

I Fancy You (2011) Jessica Simpson Perfume Review
The phrase “I Fancy You” came up in Jessica Simpson’s 2008 ET interview, where she shared a sweet story about her grandfather often saying it. For Jessica, the word fancy holds more meaning than just glamour or luxury- it’s also about affection, admiration, and charm. With the I Fancy You perfume, she continues to bring her signature Southern charm and heartfelt storytelling into her fragrance line.
“A soft, velvety, floral musk, which includes scents of pear, Fuji apple, lily of the valley, and sandalwood.”
Fragrance Family
- Floral, Woody Musk
Key Notes
- Top Notes: Pear, Apple, Bergamot
- Heart Notes: Tuberose, Lily, Hyacinth

Vintage Bloom (2012) Jessica Simpson Perfume Review
Vintage Bloom, released in 2012, is Jessica’s take on a soft, romantic floral perfume. for women. The fragrance was designed to reflect her feminine, sensual style, with a delicate blend of garden-inspired notes. In her own words, Jessica describes her perfume. ‘To me, Vintage Bloom is all about my favorite things; it is easy, lovely, joyful and such a true connection to my heart’, explains the singer. The fragrance is dedicated to a charming woman with natural style… ‘a soft, sheer romantic floral, a subtle harmony of garden flowers wafting by on a summer breeze’.
I can see where the creative direction was going-the idea of a dreamy, Southern floral fragrance is definitely appealing. But honestly, the marketing didn’t quite land. If I were behind the campaign, Jessica would be styled in a flowing dress, standing in a blooming garden-very Southern belle in the summertime, with soft sunny lighting. This kind of visual would have made such a pretty commercial and reached the target audience for this perfume.

- Foral, Fruity
Key Notes
- Top Notes: Lemon, Sweet Lime
- Heart Notes: Peony, Raspberry, Fora Accord
- Base Notes: Sandalwood, Tonkin Musk

Signature Fragrance (2014) Jessica Simpson Perfume Review
To be honest, the Signature Fragrance by Jessica Simpson perfume ad isn’t my favorite either. I feel like the director could have done a lot more to bring out Jessica’s personality. In the commercial, she looks a little…well, spaced out. Like “the lights are on, but no one is home”. Maybe it’s just the artistic direction, or maybe this is a result of her past struggles with alcohol. Don’t get me wrong-I’m rooting for her, but this campaign is hard to defend.
The dress is cute, and the scenery is pretty, overall, the ad didn’t really connect with the perfume’s scent or story. One of the YouTube comments even joked, “Is this perfume supposed to make us smell like the desert?” Ouch. And while perfume commercials are often a little quirky or abstract, this one just felt forgettable.
That said, the Signature Fragrance was launched in 2014 to celebrate Jessica turning 33, and it’s meant to reflect her growth into a more mature, confident woman. The fragrance blends all the scents she loved growing up-making it one of her most personal releases. The bottle design is soft and feminine, with a rounded shape, pink liquid, and a gold feather wrapped around the top to make the shape of the lid. The feather design is seen on her other perfumes in this timeframe.

Fancy Girl (2014) Jessica Simpson Perfume Review
Fancy Girl is the fifth release in the Jessica Simpson Fancy perfume collection, and it definitely into her signature flirty and feminine vibe. Launched in 2014, this fragrance is a cheerful blend of floral and fruity notes, with an addictive warm vanilla dry -down that gives it a cozy, sun-kissed finish. Although Fancy Girl by Jessica Simpson is discontinued, you can still find it on Amazon and through a few third-party sellers. What’s interesting is that there doesn’t seem to be any kind of commercial or ad campaign for this perfume-which is kind of unusual considering Jessica always has at least a picture ad for a magazine. I made a mockup with these pictures so we would both have SOMETHING to look at. LOL.

“Ten” (2015) Jessica Simpson Perfume Review
Launched in September 2015, “Ten” by Jessica Simpson was created to celebrate ten years of her journey in the perfume industry. This fragrance is part of the same line as her Signature Fragrance perfume from 2014. Both perfumes share the same elegant bottle design-complete with the signature feather detail wrapped around the cap. While the idea behind this ad campaign had potential, the execution feels off. In the promo video for “Ten”, Jessica looks distant and disconnected, which seems to be a reoccurring issue with her. It’s slightly better than the Signature Fragrance perfume ad, but she still has “the lights are on, but no one is home” look about her. I think at this point the director is using shorter clips to make it less awkward feeling and using more effects to fill in the moments.

- Top Notes: Clementine, Nectarine and Plum
- Heart Notes: Tiger Lily and Star Fruit
- Base Notes: White Chocolate and Sandalwood

Fancy Forever (2020) Jessica Simpson Perfume Review
Fancy Forever launched in 2020 as a more modern take on Jessica Simpson’s signature fragrance style. The bottle design is sleek and feminine, and in the ad, Jessica appears in a wedding dress-which adds a touch of storytelling and personal flair to the campaign.
The scent itself is fruity and soft with notes of apricot, lychee, magnolia, and creamy woods. It’s light, flirty, and super wearable for everyday use. Compared to her original Fancy, this one leans more vibrant and juicy, making it perfect for spring and summer.
If you enjoy celebrity perfumes that feel clean, feminine, and a little more elevated than your usual fruity floral, Fancy Forever is definitely one to check out.
“An addictive, alluring scent that lasts like everlasting love.”
Fragrance Family
- Fruity, Floral
Key Notes
- Top notes of apricot, lychee and mandarin
- Middle notes of blackberries, sweet pea and magnolia
- Base notes of vanilla, musk and Tonka bean

Fiend-Limited Edition (2020) Jessica Simpson Perfume Review
Fiend by Jessica Simpson was released in 2020, right in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic. This was a limited-edition fragrance and unfortunately it is no longer in production. If your curious about trying to find the Fiend perfume, there is a website that claims to be able to recreate discontinued scents. They even offer a money-back guarantee if you don’t think the scent matches what you are looking for. As always, make sure to read the fine print on their return policy-it’s worth being cautious when ordering from an unfamiliar site. As of right now, I have only seen the original on eBay through private sellers.
Fragrance Family
- Floral, Woody Musk
Key Notes
- Musk, Sage, Woody Notes, Orris, Tyger Lily and Amber.
How to Use
Spray on pulse points.
If you would like to buy this perfume, you can find it on eBay in its original state through private sellers.
Final Thoughts on Jessica Simpson Perfumes
If you’ve read my other post about Dessert Beauty by Jessica Simpson, you’ll probably notice how different her early branding was compared to her more recent perfume ads. Personally, I wish her team had carried over some of that Southern charm and playful nostalgia that made those early campaigns so special. It could’ve grown with her audience and appealed to them more than just pre-teens and young teenagers.
I’m definitely not a perfume expert, but as someone in her target market who buys and loves celebrity fragrances, these are just my honest first impressions and thoughts. Have you tried any Jessica Simpson perfumes-especially those that are harder to find or no longer in production? I’d genuinely love to hear your thoughts and favorites.
